Hookin 2 Hockey

Donny, as we are known, loves welcoming new families and helping them to develop a lifelong love of hockey, whilst getting to know us better to see if we are the right club for them and their children.

Our wonderful H2H Coordinator, Rae, the mother of one of our lovely girls, Megan, who began her hockey journey at the club as part of our H2H program more than 10 years ago, helps our youngest players and their families find their feet at Donny. She will welcome you personally when you first step through our gate and is available at all times to answer any questions and/or resolve any issues you or your child may have. Feel free to get in touch with her at any time.

Donny has its own fully stocked Pro-Shop onsite and our Pro-Shop Manager, Kym, or one of our coaches, will help your child find the stick and shin that is right for them.

Hookin2Hockey is a program designed specifically for young players aged 5-10 years that have not played hockey before. It introduces the skills and game of hockey in a relaxed, friendly, and non-competitive environment.

What is Indoor Hockey

  • There are only six (or 5) players per team.
  • The playing area is much smaller.
  • The ball may only be pushed and not hit or slapped.
  • The ball may only be played along the ground except for a shot at goal which can be raised.
  • Indoor hockey pitches have side-boards along both side-lines which keep the ball in play.
